“April hath put a spirit of youth in everything. (Sonnet XCVIII)”
William Shakespeare

Enjoying the most beautiful patch of clovers, from seeds scatter by me two years ago.

The most wonderful fragance in my garden comes from those roses.

“A Robin said: The Spring will never come,
And I shall never care to build again.
A Rosebush said: These frosts are wearisome,
My sap will never stir for sun or rain.
The half Moon said: These nights are fogged and slow,
I neither care to wax nor care to wane.
The Ocean said: I thirst from long ago,
Because earth's rivers cannot fill the main. —
When Springtime came, red Robin built a nest,
And trilled a lover's song in sheer delight.
Grey hoarfrost vanished, and the Rose with might
Clothed her in leaves and buds of crimson core.
The dim Moon brightened. Ocean sunned his crest,
Dimpled his blue, yet thirsted evermore.”
Christina Rossetti

Pink Hyacinth are wonderfully scented

Enjoying family day at Bayou Bend, just a perfect spring day in one of the most beautiful place in Houston !

                     Bird love...

The Antique Rose Emporium  is a perfect place to enjoy at spring time.

Lately, enormous ancient  looking tree makes me to stop to appreciate its beauty, this one is at the center of the Antique Rose Emporium

Under the weeping willow, lots of fun games and pretending happens.

A side view of the small chapel, beautifully landscape, just the way I like it!

The crape myrtle pathway to the chapel

Among family, among friends, among flowers. Great memories!

On the making

Having a little daughter is a wonderful thing, little girls are naturally beautiful and  love to imitate their moms. I love when my daughter tries to organize a meal for our family, so I am always pursuing to better her and myself as homemakers. She can cook, she can sew, she can clean her bathroom and her room, some of those skills are still in much need of improvement, but I feel we are going in the right direction...

Lately I have been reading a lot about keeping a homestead, doing some research  I stumble on Aspiring Homemaker, a delightful blog, from a young christian {and home schooled} woman helping her family on their beautiful homestead.
Here is a quote from Mia:
"My Mother and I often comment that we take pleasure in what many consider 'insignificant'. Doing simple home chores, learning skills, taking notice of the nature around you. Sifting through thrift shops to find that one treasure we've been seeking. Living simply, but having a FULL life :) "
I love this quote from Mia, because a homemaker is what I am , sometimes a take more as a chore other then as a blessing. But she inspires me, with the love and joy that overflows from her post, about her family and the beauty of everyday life.
Oh you must check it out, her enthusiasm will inspired you too.

She sold her doll !
